This can be a fear along with a paradox of performing function that's important.
A dread since a lot of of us are raised to avoid appearing arrogant. Being known as arrogant is often a terrible slur, it indicates that you are not just a failure, but a poser at the same time.
It's a paradox, though, due to the fact the confidence and attitude that goes with bringing a brand new thought into the globe ("hey, listen to this,") can be a hair's breadth away, or a minimum of sometimes it feels that way, from staying arrogant.
And so we maintain our head down. Much better, they say, to become invisible and non-contributing than chance being arrogant.
That feels like a selfish, cowardly cop out to me. Much better, I believe, to make a variation and run the danger of failing often, of getting created fun of, and yes, appearing arrogant. It's far better than the option.
